Summer Registration

It’s getting warmer outside, and with a little bit of spring fever, we are all getting excited about our summer programs here at MVGA.  There are many new and exciting changes that will be taking effect this summer.  Our summer schedule will be handed out in April with our final school year evaluations for each child.  Phase I Registration for current students will being the week of April 22nd.  This will be your chance to get your first choice class before we open enrollment to the public.  Keep watching for more information in our April newsletter!
Text Box: The 16th Annual T&T Meet at MVATC will be held on May 18th, 2012. Save the date for some high-flying fun and excitement as we watch gymnasts of all ages perform and compete! This will be the third year of our exciting trampoline competition! Anyone can sign up to compete either on tramp or floor and there will be exhibitions from our competitive gymnasts and cheerleaders as well! Sign-up will begin in April. Continue watching our monthly newsletters and our white boards for more info!

A Big Finish On Our Competitive Seasons!

 

     Our competitive gymnastics season wraps up in March with the final competitions for our men’s team and our women’s optional level gymnasts.  The Mississippi River Vacation Classic is on March 1st through 3rd in Dubuque, IA for our Optional and Xcel teams.  Leapin’ Leprechaun is on March 9th & 10th and is the final regular season competition for our optional gymnasts.

     The men will be competing at their state meet on March 24th and the women’s Optional and Xcel State Meet is on March 16th through 17th.  All of our competitive gymnasts have worked hard this year.

Text Box: Woo-hoo! New Floor Carpet!! A message from Joe & Nicole We will be receiving the new carpet within the next month!! We just want to take a moment and say thank you to all the families who have helped the Booster Club raise money to help us buy new carpet for our Floor Exercise! The Booster Club has donated some of their proceeds to help us pay for a portion of the new carpet and we couldn’t have done it without them. For those of you who are still unfamiliar with our MVGA Booster Club, it is an organization that is run completely separate from the business. We do not control what the Booster Club does, nor to we make decisions for them. It is comprised of the parents of our competitive gymnasts and cheerleaders here at MVGA, with a board of officers that is elected by its members. You do not need to be a competitive family to join the Booster Club. The Booster Club works year round to help raise funds for our competitive season costs and to help “boost” the rate at which we purchase new equipment for the gym! While the Booster Club never fully pays for the coaching expenses or equipment, they simply supplement the gyms investment so we can keep our tuition costs as low as possible. If you would like more information about our Booster Club, or would like to become a member, please talk to either of us or stop in the office and talk to Val—she is the current treasurer! -Joe & Nicole Mississippi Valley Gymnastics Academy
