Yes, make-ups may be used within the paid month.

Your child can make up in a class of the same level as long as there is room available.  One missed class per month can be made up.

Is there a time limit on making up a class?

My child missed a class, what do I do?

Please call the office and let us know you will be missing a class.  If you miss two classes in a row without reporting these absences' to our office, we will assume that the student has dropped and the student’s spot may be given to another student.

What do I need to do if my child is going to miss a class?

Tuition is due before each month begins.  If tuition is not received by the 10th of the current month, a $5 late fee will be charged.  For competitive team tuition, fees must be paid before the 1st practice of the month.  After the 1st, there will be a $10 late fee and your child will not be allowed to participate. Statements are sent only on past due accounts.

When is tuition due?

Each child after the first child receives a $5 discount each month (multiple team members $10 off).  If a child is in more than one class, they receive a 25% discount off the second class (of lesser value).

Do I receive any discount for having more than one child in a class?  What about one child in multiple classes?

When a child is evaluated into and begins in Sapphire level or above they are eligible to join the show team.  They will receive an invitation at the appropriate times of the year (fall and spring).

How does my child join the performance show team?

Coaches at MVATC evaluate your child on an ongoing basis.  Written evaluations will be sent home quarterly.  You will be notified by the instructor when your child is ready to move up to the next level.  If you have any questions about your child’s progress, it is best to ask the instructor.  They spend the most time with your child and will have the best answers for your questions.

How often does my child get evaluated on their skills?

Unfortunately, at this time, MVATC does not accept credit or debit card payments.  We will gladly accept cash or checks.  (Please see our “Returned Check Policy” FAQ below.)  When paying by check, please include your phone number, Driver’s License number and date of birth on the check.

Can I pay for my tuition with a credit or debit card?

No.  Our experienced instructors do a wonderful job with the children.  There is no obligation for you to stay and watch your child in class.  If an emergency does arise, we will use the emergency contact information you filled out on your paperwork to notify you of the situation.

Do I have to stay at the gym while my child does their class?

What should my child wear?  Is a leotard required?  If so, what kind?

A leotard is required for Ruby, Sapphire, Diamond and competitive level gymnasts.  There is no requirement for the style of leotard.  We offer a large variety of styles and sizes in our Pro-Shop selection in the office or you may purchase your leo somewhere else.  If a leo is not required (Preschool, Emerald, Boys and cheer classes) your child should wear non-restrictive clothing and no blue jeans or anything with zippers or buttons.

FOR ALL STUDENTS: long hair MUST be pulled up out of their face and NO jewelry (with the exception of medical jewelry).  Gymnasts will do class barefoot.  If they wear tights, they should not cover the feet.  Cheerleaders should wear tennis shoes to class.

MVATC’s fees take into consideration holiday closings and are based on an average of 4 classes per month.

What about gym holidays & closings?
