About the Women’s program:

Mississippi Valley Gymnastics Academy’s Junior Olympic Competitive Women’s Team program is for gymnasts who are in Levels 3-10.  Our Xcel Competitive Team is a program for the gymnasts in our Diamond level or above who choose to no longer compete in the Junior Olympic program.  As members of USA Gymnastics, the girls compete throughout the state of Iowa and around the Midwest, especially in USAG’s Region IV.  The time commitment varies from 3 to 15 hours per week, with competitions during the fall and winter.  Entry to competitive team is by invitation only.  We invite recreational gymnasts who have shown adequate ability, both mentally and physically, to competitive team two times per year—in January and May. 

 

2012-2013 Team

The 2011-2012 MVGA Women’s Team is full of dedication and drive.  Being MVGA’s best team yet, the girls have worked hard through many long hours of practice—  many happy and some challenging.  The team is made up of 31 gymnasts between the ages of 7 and 18 years of age.  The gymnasts come from all over the Gateway area—Clinton, Camanche, DeWitt, Grand Mound, Calamus, Bryant, Goose Lake, Preston, Sabula, Savanna, Mt. Carroll, Fulton, and Morrison.
